Ma il Veneto non è solo Venezia, e la natura veneta non è solo mare. La montagna veneta esprime scenari di rara bellezza. Le Dolomiti viste da Cortina d'Ampezzo, famosa località di villeggiatura in provincia di Belluno, sono uno spettacolo grandioso. E l'intera area del delta del Po, in provincia di Rovigo, è un unicum ambientale di eccezionale interesse naturalistico. A Padova, antica e colta città, la maestosa Basilica che custodisce le reliquie di S.Antonio attrae ogni anno milioni di pellegrini. Grande anche il richiamo delle Ville Palladiane, così chiamate dal nome del loro autore, il grande architetto Andrea Palladio che, nel XVI secolo, progettò e realizzo edifici che ancora oggi suscitano ammirato stupore per la loro armoniosa bellezza, come La Rotonda di Vicenza. A Verona, la città immortalata da Shakespeare nel suo Romeo e Giulietta, una serata d'opera all'Arena, è un appuntamento d'obbligo, d'estate.

But the Veneto is not just Venice, and its landscape does not just consist of the sea. The mountains of the Veneto have a rare beauty. The Dolomites seen from Cortina d'Ampezzo, the famous holiday resort in the province of Belluno, are a fabulous spectacle. And the whole area of the river Po delta, in the province of Rovigo, is a unique environment of exceptional natural interest. At Padua, an ancient and learned city, the majestic Basilica that houses the relics of S. Antonio attracts millions of pilgrims every year. The attraction of the Palladian Villas is also strong, named after their creator, the great architect Andrea Palladio who, in the sixteenth century, planned and realised buildings whose harmonious beauty is still capable of astonishing, such as La Rotonda in Vicenza.
